For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil 1:21
Inspiration:
Today's scripture has been on my heart for some time and I pray that it blesses you. It is sharp and mighty in its elegant simplicity. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. At first read, and without the proper eye salve, this scripture may be a bit confusing. It may seem counterintuitive. If you haven't come to experience Jesus Christ as the well from which if you choose to drink, you'll never thirst again, then not initially comprehending this scripture is understandable.

Many have fallen victim to the Y.O.L.O. campaign which promotes a "live how you want to"/ "do whatever you want" agenda. However, if you invite Christ into your heart, you will realize that the way that we choose to live in THIS life, determines the destination and quality of our final chapter in eternity.
And so...
Jesus Christ as the focal point and center of my life = True Living. So if I live my life for Christ, I have access to "abundant life". With this abundant life, the ailments and challenges of this world simply roll off of me as though a stain resistant seal has been applied. And if I die in this state, then I gain an eternity with the King of Kings!

Additionally, in order for us to live a Christ centered life, we make the active choice not to walk in the flesh by operating within the Worldly system of doing whatever we feel like, whenever we feel like it to whomever we feel. In choosing Christ, we are choosing not to be ruled by our feelings but to instead operate with Christian integrity in a world where most people are simply trying to get over by an means necessary.
